Rukard Hurd papers, 1865-1911 (bulk 1889-1906).

Papers of Rukard Hurd--insurance agent, Minnesota legislator, and member of Minnesota Tax Commission--include letters received (with a few copies of letters sent); speeches (1896-1899), mostly patriotic; notes and letters (1890s) concerning genealogy of the Hurd, Orton, Duncan, Morris, Osborn, Harbron, and related families; and reviews and other materials relating to Hurd's Iron Ore Manual (published 1911). Other than the manual, however, the papers contain nothing relating to the concerns of the Minnesota Tax Commission.
